EWARS Weekly Bulletin

Highlights
Among the reported diseases, AGE is the leading cause of morbidity in Week 17 with 845 reported cases.
Overall reporting rate of Week 17 is 94.9% with 112 out of 118 sentinel sites reporting to EWARS.
1003555 cases of Corona Virus disease (COVID-19) have been confirmed in Nepal, of which 991509 cases have been recovered so far.
Week Summary

This bulletin includes data since January 2022 till date, including comparison of the same period last two year. Since, May 2019, 36 new sentinel sites (including public hospitals, private hospitals, and medical colleges) were added and was gradually oriented and started reporting, thus increasing the number of reporting sites. The current number of sentinel sites is 118.

Summary Observation
Most of the AGE cases were reported from KAILALI (45 cases), KAPILBASTU (43 cases), KATHMANDU (38 cases), PARSA (82 cases), SUNSARI (52 cases).
Most of the SARI cases were reported from KAILALI (27 cases), BAJURA (22 cases), RUPANDEHI (19 cases), KATHMANDU (51 cases), MORANG (16 cases).
Most of the Dengue cases were reported from KANCHANPUR (3 cases), TANAHU (4 cases), CHITAWAN (7 cases), KATHMANDU (6 cases), JHAPA (4 cases).
Most of the Malaria Vivax cases were reported from KAILALI (1 cases), BAJURA (1 cases), CHITAWAN (1 cases), KATHMANDU (2 cases).
Malaria Falciparum cases were reported from KATHMANDU (2 cases), NUWAKOT (1 cases).
Most of the Kala azar cases were reported from BHAKTAPUR (1 cases), KATHMANDU (2 cases), UDAYAPUR (1 cases).
Most of the Scrub Typhus cases were reported from ACHHAM (9 cases), DOTI (8 cases), DADELDHURA (7 cases), CHITAWAN (8 cases), OKHALDHUNGA (4 cases).
Most of the Enteric Fever cases were reported from BAJURA (5 cases), KATHMANDU (3 cases), DHANUSA (3 cases), MORANG (2 cases), OKHALDHUNGA (2 cases).
Most of the Influenza Like Illness cases were reported from ACHHAM (24 cases), BAJURA (7 cases), LALITPUR (9 cases), SINDHUPALCHOK (16 cases), OKHALDHUNGA (6 cases).
