Highlights
Among the reported diseases, AGE is the leading cause of morbidity in Week 19 with 639 reported cases.
Overall reporting rate of Week 19 is 100.0% with 134 out of 134 sentinel sites reporting to EWARS.
Week Summary

This bulletin includes data since January 2022 till date, including comparison of the same period last two year. In May 2019, 36 new sentinel sites (including public hospitals, private hospitals, and medical colleges) were added and was gradually oriented and started reporting. Recently, in November 2024, 17 reporting sites selected from all the provices of Nepal were upgraded to sentinel sites, thus the number of sentinel sites are increasing. The current number of sentinel sites is 134.

Summary Observation (including probable and suspect cases)
Most of the AGE cases were reported from KATHMANDU (53 cases), PARSA (46 cases), KAILALI (31 cases), RUPANDEHI (28 cases) and RUKUM WEST (23 cases).
Most of the SARI cases were reported from KATHMANDU (24 cases), RUPANDEHI (23 cases), MORANG (17 cases), BAJURA (15 cases) and KAILALI (14 cases).
Most of the Cholera cases were reported from BHAKTAPUR (18 cases), TANAHU (4 cases), BAGLUNG (1 case), MYAGDI (1 case) and CHITAWAN (1 case).
Most of the Malaria cases were reported from KAILALI (2 cases), BAJURA (1 case) and BAGLUNG (1 case).
Most of the Dengue cases were reported from KATHMANDU (6 cases), KANCHANPUR (5 cases), DANG (5 cases), SYANGJA (4 cases) and SUNSARI (3 cases).
Most of the Kala azar cases were reported from DADELDHURA (2 cases), KANCHANPUR (1 case), KALIKOT (1 case), PYUTHAN (1 case) and KATHMANDU (1 case).
Most of the Scrub Typhus cases were reported from DANG (12 cases), SANKHUWASABHA (10 cases), DOTI (8 cases), DADELDHURA (7 cases) and LAMJUNG (7 cases).
Most of the Enteric Fever cases were reported from SARLAHI (10 cases), DADELDHURA (8 cases), KATHMANDU (8 cases), PALPA (6 cases) and JHAPA (5 cases).
Most of the Influenza Like Illness cases were reported from KAILALI (70 cases), KATHMANDU (29 cases), PARBAT (27 cases), RUKUM WEST (24 cases) and SINDHUPALCHOK (22 cases).
